Middletown Middle School softball team improves season record to 8-5

UKIAH >> The Middletown Broncos busted open a 4-1 game after four innings, scoring 10 times in their final two at-bats to beat Pomolita Middle School 14-1 in non-league softball action Thursday in Ukiah.
Middletown (8-5) pushed across four runs in the fifth inning and six more in the sixth inning to pull way. Emma Davis led the charge at the plate for the Broncos, going 4-for-4 with three doubles and two RBIs. Alina Kilstrom went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs while Claire Irwin went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Winning pitcher Lilliaunna Reyes tossed a six-hitter, striking out six and walking two.
Middletown travels to Upper Lake on Monday.
