Sophia Gonzalez pitches another gem, goes 3-for-3 at the plate

CLOVERDALE >> Winning pitcher Sophia Gonzalez didn’t allow an earned run while also going 3-for-3 at the plate during Terrace’s 11-1 four-inning victory over Washington in middle school softball action Tuesday afternoon in Cloverdale.
Amelie Davis doubled twice while Mariah Pruitt had a triple among her two hits for the Vikings in the non-league game. Rilee Sperber also had two hits.
“It was a rocky first inning with errors, but the girls brought it back with solid defense and great baserunning,” Terrace head coach Lynn Cruz said.
The Vikings (16-2) are on the road again Wednesday to play Eagle Peak.
