He’s one of six Gladiators to reach medal podium during California USA Kids State in Fresno

FRESNO >> The Gladiators Wrestling Club sent 11 team members to California USA Kids State last weekend in Fresno and six ended up reaching the medal podium, led by Elijah Tucker in the bantam 70-pound weight class.

Tucker pinned his first two opponents before winning 11-0 in the semifinals. Although he lost by pin in the finals, he was still able to secure a coveted bear trophy, which are awarded to the top three finishers in each weight class.

Reaching the medal podium by placing in the top eight of their respective divisions were Maverick Paminto (fourth), Kaitlyn Crown (sixth), Brodie McDaniel (seventh), Colin Crow (eighth) and Kailaya Philpot (eighth).

Also competing at state were Jameson Philpot, Brantley Paminto, Thomas Philpot, Brayden Paminto and Adin Griffen.

As the folkstyle season winds down, the Gladiators are gearing up for the Reno Worlds on April 3-6.
