Mendocino College women’s basketball team loses BVC game to Solano College

FAIRFIELD >> Montana Wells scored 18 points while teammates Stella Hill and Samantha Hernandez added 15 apiece as the Mendocino College women’s basketball team fell 91-59 to Solano College in Bay Valley College action in Fairfield.
Mendocino College (2-10) trailed only 20-17 after one quarter, but Solano took control of the game with a 20-5 second quarter.
The Eagles hung around until the fourth quarter when Solano put the game away with 31 points.
Wells (Clear Lake) and Hill (Clear Lake) both pulled down seven rebounds. Madison Brewster-Ramirez (Clear Lake) added six points and 13 rebounds. Hernandez played her high school ball at Lower Lake. Karlee Zimmerschied (Upper Lake) finished with five points.
The Eagles play Marin on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Kentfield.
