Middletown High graduate helps Mariners defeat Merritt College 62-43

OAKLAND >> Jaidyn Brown scored 13 points while teammates Kamari Johnson and Isabella Zepeda each had 11 on Wednesday night as the Marin College women’s basketball team beat Merritt College of Oakland 62-43 in Bay Valley Conference action in Oakland.
The Mariners (8-4 conference, 13-11 overall) had an 18-10 lead after one quarter before increasing that advantage to 33-16 by halftime.
Brown, a Middletown High graduate, went 4-for-10 from the field with one 3-pointer and 4-for-6 from the line. She also had four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
The Mariners beat Merritt 46-42 in their first meeting in early January at Kentfield.
Marin hosts Mendocino College on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Marin beat Mendocino 101-39 on Jan. 8 in Ukiah.
