Galvan serves power Middletown in win

Middle school A team knocks off Upper Lake on the road

UPPER LAKE >> Trinity Galvan didn’t give Upper Lake much of a chance when she was at the service line for the Middletown Broncos during a middle school A squad volleyball match Wednesday evening in Upper Lake.

Galvan served up 16 points, 10 of them coming on aces, as the Broncos swept Upper Lake 25-8, 25-19. Emma Davis and Jaquelin Nunez led Middletown up front with five and four kills, respectively, while Ella DelZompo and Grace Williams each had three kills. Davis added three aces and DelZompo two aces. Galvan also had four digs and Davis two digs.

“The Broncos had a solid night,” Middletown head coach Vanessa Davis said. “Trinity Galvan served a gem of a match. Her serves led to an ace almost every time she up to the line.”

Added Davis of her team’s performance, “My players were all around making clean plays and having fun. I love to see their energy and power all coming together.”

No Upper Lake statistics were reported.

Middletown plays Mountain Vista of Kelseyville on Monday.
