Mateer registers team-best 10 kills in non-conference, straight-set win over Skyline

SAN FRANCISCO >> Mati Mateer pounded out 10 kills to go along with nine digs and two aces in Mendocino College’s 25-23, 25-18, 27-25 non-conference win over Skyline College on Wednesday in San Francisco.
The Eagles (4-4) climbed back to the .500 mark with their second straight win.
Cali Schnabl finished with 13 digs and four assists while AJ Wurm had 15 assists, three digs and one ace for Mendocino. Aimee Schaefers added six kills and one ace while Emily Gersalia had 13 digs and nine assists.
Mendocino College is home Friday to play Siskiyous (noon) and College of the Redwoods (2 p.m.).
