Ashlynn Cruz, Aniya Jauregui notch solid performances for Cardinals

LAKEPORT >> Credo beat Clear Lake 24-26, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 15-11 in non-league varsity volleyball play Tuesday night in Lakeport.
Ashlynn Cruz logged 10 kills and eight aces for the Cardinals while teammate Aniya Jauregui added nine kills and six aces.
“We struggled with serves and unforced errors,” Clear Lake head coach Izzy Short said.
Clear Lake won the junior varsity match 25-19, 25-13.
The Cardinals host St. Helena on Thursday beginning with the JV match at 5 p.m.
