LAKE COUNTY >> Atiana Patino of Clear Lake High School and Ashlyn Wurm of Kelseyville High School, both juniors, are the co-most valuable players on the 2025 All-Lake County softball team as selected by Lake County Sports.

Patino and Wurm helped lead their teams to North Coast Section playoff appearances after they tied for third place in the North Central League I standings with 7-7 records. Both squads were underclassmen dominated, each with only one senior on its roster. Wurm also played shortstop when she wasn’t pitching. Both players also helped their teams at the plate.

Wurm posted a 6-5 record with a 3.32 ERA for the Knights, who finished 8-12 overall. She made 10 starts in 12 appearances with six complete games, and 60 strikeouts in 59 innings of work. Her .940 fielding average was second best on the team. At the plate, Wurm was an offensive dynamo with a team-leading .431 average. She also led the team in hits (28), runs (20), doubles (8), triples (4) and home runs (2). Wurm was second in team RBIs with 15.

Patino was a workhorse for the Cardinals, who at 12-9 were the only county softball team with a winning record overall this season. She pitched all but four innings for Clear Lake during the season while posting an 11-9 record with a 3.86 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 101 2/3 innings. She could also field her position, committing just one error. At the plate, Patino batted a team-best .442, nearly 80 points higher than her next closest teammate. She also led the team in hits (23) while being among team leaders in runs (20), RBIs (16) and triples (2).

Honored from Clear Lake were juniors Karsyn Greer (team leader with 25 runs and two home runs) and Faith McIntire (.364 average, 19 runs, 15 RBIs, home run), and freshman Cali Albaum (team leader with 17 RBIs).
