Lake County Track Club competes in 65th annual Golden West Invitational

CORDOVA >> Isa Barnes finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles and eighth in the 100 hurdles while competing for the Lake County Track Club on Saturday at the 65th annual Golden West Invitational in Cordova.
Barnes, who recently completed her sophomore year at Middletown High School, ran a personal-best 50.9 second in the 300 hurdles. The time would have set a Middletown record had it taken place during the high school season. She posted a time of 17.69 in the 100 hurdles.
Avery Peterson placed third in the girls 400 on Sunday with a time of 1 minutes, 6.9 seconds. She added an eighth-place finish in the 200 (29.85).
Among other Lake County Track Club members, Christian Rodriguez finished eighth in the boys 300 hurdles with a time off 44.20. Hadley Mick ran 56.87 in the 400, and Kaylee Case finished in 18.7 in the 100 hurdles.
Next up for the Lake County Track Club is the West Coast National Championship on June 26-29 at Hug High School in Reno.
