Lake County Track Club opens season at STS Club Championships in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO >> The Lake County Track Club sent three members to the STS Club Championships on Saturday at Inderkum High School in Sacramento and one came away with a first-place finish.
Coached by Lower Lake High School head coach Bobby Landgraf, the Lake County Track Club sent Isa Barnes (15-16 girls division), Avery Peterson (13-14 girls division) and Emilano Rivera (15-16 boys division) to Sacramento.
Barnes, who is finishing up her sophomore year at Middletown High School, won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.52 seconds. She also placed 10th in the 100 meters in 13.79.
Peterson placed fourth in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line in 1 minute, 3.21 seconds. Rivera placed 16th in his division’s 400 meters in 1:00.99.
Lake County Track Club hits the road next Saturday to compete in the 65th annual Golden West Invitational at Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova.
