Lady Trojans open 2026 season with road victory against Willits Wolverines

WILLITS >> Juliza Sevilla scored two girls and assisted on another as the Lower Lake High School girls soccer team opened the 2026 season with a 3-1 road win Monday against the Willits Wolverines.
Sevilla’s first goal lifted Lower Lake (1-0) into a 1-1 tie at halftime. Lorena Inong’s goal, assisted by Sevilla, put the Trojans ahead to stay 2-1 in the second half. Sevilla scored again later in the half to give head coach Ana Duran’s squad some breathing room.
“We’re getting a good start on our preseason games,” Duran said.
Lower Lake is scheduled to host Credo in a non-league game Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
