Bears knock off Upper Lake in middle school co-ed soccer action

UPPER LAKE >> Marco Soto scored three times, a hat trick, to help lead the Obsidian Middle School co-ed soccer team to a 5-1 win over Upper Lake on Wednesday in Upper Lake.
Evelin Vargas and Angel Sanchez also scored for the Bears, who improved to 4-1 in league play.
“It was a strong 5-1 win against Upper Lake,” Obsidian coach Andres Hernandez said. “The team has been putting in a lot of hard work, and you can really see that paying off on the field.”
Upper Lake scoring wasn’t reported.
Obsidian returns home Monday to play Terrace School at 4:30 p.m.
