Lake County softball players honored on All-North Central League I squad

LAKE COUNTY >> On a team dominated by co-champions St. Helena and Cloverdale, both 13-1 in the standings this year, three Lake County players did manage to crack the first team on the 2026 edition of the All-North Central League I softball team as selected by the league’s coaches.
While St. Helena and Cloverdale ran away from the competition this season, third place Clear Lake (9-5) landed senior pitcher Atiana Patino and freshman center fielder Amelie Davis on the first team while fourth place Kelseyville (8-6) was represented by senior pitcher/shortstop AJ Wurm.
Co-most valuables were St. Helena senior Ellie Carmichael and Cloverdale sophomore Camryn Bird.
First team
Joining Clear Lake’s Patino and Davis and Kelseyville’s Wurm on the All-League first team were Cloverdale’s Kaloni Brown (senior), Emmersyn Reasoner (junior) and Grace Rhodes (freshman), and St. Helena’s Olive Filippini (senior), Ada Blanton (junior) and Leyla Blanton (freshman.
Second team
Five Lake County players earned second-team honors. Kelseyville juniors Vanessa Reyes and Josie Keithly, Clear Lake junior Ashlynn Cruz, Clar Lake sophomore Cali Albaum, and Lower Lake freshman Eden Sparks were selected along with Cloverdale senior Kylee Vlasak, Cloverdale junior Lexie Hernandez, St. Helena sophomore Malia Lund, and Fort Bragg junior Katelyn Burbeck.
Honorable mentions
Lower Lake senior Jamiya Lee-Ayers, Lower Lake junior Crystal Pepper, Clear Lake senior Lindee Bingham, Kelseyville freshman Brooke Poff, St. Helena freshman Maycee Farrell, St. Helena senior Jordan Hamilton, Cloverdale senior Alyse Blasi and Cloverdale junior Ronni Hatcher, and Fort Bragg senior Autumn Baxman all received honorable mentions.
Voting
The number of All-League selections a team receives is largely determined by where a team finishes in the league standings and if a team’s coach participates in the All-League meeting.
Cloverdale led the way with eight players honored, St. Helena had seven, Clear Lake five, Kelseyville four, Lower Lake (6-8) three, Upper Lake (3-11) none, Fort Bragg (2-12) two and Middletown (2-12) none.
Six of the league’s eight coaches participated in the All-League meeting. Missing were Upper Lake and Middletown.
