Clear Lake JVs rout Encinal in opener

Pasalo rushes for 200 yards, four touchdowns in 60-0 blowout win

LAKEPORT >> John Pasalo ran for 200 yards and four touchdowns, part of a 300-yard yard rushing night for the Clear Lake High School junior varsity football team in a 60-0 season-opening win Friday night over Encinal High School of Alameda at Don Owens Stadium in Lakeport.

Clear Lake (1-0) also returned two fumbles for touchdowns – one each by Dillon Egan and Landyn Collins – as its defense held Encinal without a first down.

The Cardinals attempted only one pass all night, an 8-yard touchdown from quarterback Logan Percaccio to Nathan Heath.

Collins and Percaccio rushed for 50 yards apiece, and Collins also had a touchdown.

The Cardinals converted six two-point conversions.

Knox Hinsler anchored the defense with six tackles and also recovered a fumble. Egan and Collins had four tackles apiece while Leroy Wiles had three and a fumble recovery. Jesus Rodriguez registered a sack and forced a fumble.
