Denham, Erlandson, Parker all turn in strong showings

SANTA ROSA >> Kelseyville High School track and field sent many of its varsity athletes and a handful of JVs to the Viking Classic on Saturday at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa.
Kylee Denham and Liz Erlandson tied for sixth place in the high jump, both clearing 4 feet, 6 inches. Denham also had a ninth-place finish in the 100 hurdles (personal best 19.29 seconds) while Erlandson was 15th in the 100 (personal best 13.52).
Jacob Parker tied for 13th in the high jump (5-4), finished 42nd in the long jump (16-7) and was 65th in the 200 (26.32).
Grace Hobbs placed 20th in the 100 hurdles (season best 20.7) while John Carr tied for 24th in the varsity shotput (36-5 ½). He also placed 100th in the JV boys open division at 15.32.
Camila Morales finished 48th in the shotput (19-7) and 55th in the 1,600 (8:27.56).
Aylin Aguilar came in 52nd in the 1,600 (6:51.52) while Lorena Pantaleon was 54th (8:21.08).
In JV action, Ori Quetlah finished 54th in the 400 meters (personal best 1:05.18) and 99th in the 100 (personal best14.55).
Laila Lefort was 28th in the 400 (personal best 1:22.93) while Simone Silveira was 30th (personal best 1:27.21).
