KHS athletes attend Viking Classic

Denham, Erlandson, Parker all turn in strong showings

SANTA ROSA >> Kelseyville High School track and field sent many of its varsity athletes and a handful of JVs to the Viking Classic on Saturday at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa.

Kylee Denham and Liz Erlandson tied for sixth place in the high jump, both clearing 4 feet, 6 inches. Denham also had a ninth-place finish in the 100 hurdles (personal best 19.29 seconds) while Erlandson was 15^th in the 100 (personal best 13.52).

Jacob Parker tied for 13^th in the high jump (5-4), finished 42^nd in the long jump (16-7) and was 65^th in the 200 (26.32).

Grace Hobbs placed 20^th in the 100 hurdles (season best 20.7) while John Carr tied for 24^th in the varsity shotput (36-5 ½). He also placed 100^th in the JV boys open division at 15.32.

Camila Morales finished 48^th in the shotput (19-7) and 55^th in the 1,600 (8:27.56).

Aylin Aguilar came in 52^nd in the 1,600 (6:51.52) while Lorena Pantaleon was 54^th (8:21.08).

In JV action, Ori Quetlah finished 54^th in the 400 meters (personal best 1:05.18) and 99^th in the 100 (personal best14.55).

Laila Lefort was 28^th in the 400 (personal best 1:22.93) while Simone Silveira was 30^th (personal best 1:27.21).
