Knights attend Frosh/Soph Championships

Angel Ruiz, Audrey Wiser turn in handful of solid finishes

DUBLIN >> Kelseyville High School track and field was well represented Saturday during the 14^th annual Northern California Frosh/Soph Championships at Dublin High School.

Angel Ruiz was the Knights’ top finisher, taking fifth in the shotput with a toss of 37 feet, 9 inches. He also placed 19^th in the discus (79-6) and 51^st in the 100 (12.64).

Audrey Wiser finished seventh in both the shotput (personal-best of 20 feet) and discus (53-10). She also placed 32^nd in the 1,600-meter run (personal best of 7 minutes, 41.01 seconds).

Ximena Herren came in ninth in the discus (48-3) and 16^th in the 800 (personal best 2:47.85).

Kyia Gregorie finished 11^th in the long jump (personal best 12-4 ¾), 66^th in the 100 (15.6 seconds) and 68^th in the 200 (34.36).

Dakotah Burton placed 13^th in the long jump (12-2 ½), 15^th in the 200 (personal best 29.89) and 27^th in the 100 (14.38).

Dylan Marquardt finished 58^th in the 400 (1:17.92), 108^th in the 200 (33.7) and 110^th in the 100 (15.14).

Izayah Zavalza finished 35^th in the long jump (14-6), 50^th in the 400 (personal best 1:04.39) and 99^th in the 200 (28.81).

Luke Sousa placed 30th in the long jump (personal best 14-10 ¾), 82^nd in the 100 (13.27) and 92^nd in the 200 (personal best 28.36).
