LAKEPORT >> Avery Zolensky is a pitcher who can hit, and the Middletown Middle School student-athlete took care of business Wednesday, slugging a two-run home run and driving in three runs overall in the Broncos’ 16-3 league win over the Terrace Vikings in Lakeport.
The game was called after four innings because of the mercy rule.
Zolensky, who went 2-for-2 at the plate, also pitched all four innings, striking out four and walking four.
