They send 17 riders to 2026 NorCal Cycling League competition at Ford Ord

MARINA >> The Middletown Composite mountain bike team opened a new NorCal Cycling League season Saturday at Fort Ord.

Makayla Davis won the eighth-grade girls race in the Junior Development division while Asher Pyska finished sixth in the eighth-grade boys race. Tanner Hicks came in 35th out of 80 riders.

In the seventh-grade boys race, Gabriel Schneider came in 37th, Asher Volpe 54th and Matty Sanchez 65th.

Eden Clark was 26th in the sixth-grade boys race.

In the high school division, Kiera Murray scored a solid third-place finish in the 12-strong varsity girls race.

In varsity boys action, Wyatt Davis placed 37th.

In the JV girls1 division, Camille Pyska came in 19th while Len Rivas was 16th in the JV girls2 division.

In the JV boys2 class, Madox Schneider finished 37th, Eli Norris 47th, Landon Williams 52nd and Blake Norris 60th.

In freshman boys 2 action, Jeremiah Sanchez came in 80th and Sawyer Anderson was 82nd.
