She earns leader’s jersey in NorCal Cycling League series

NOVATO >> Kiera Murray of the Middletown Composite mountain bike team won the varsity girls division May 2 during a NorCal Cycling League race at Stafford Lake in Novato.

Murray is also the series leader among varsity girls, which entitles her to wear the leader’s jersey. She is the first member of Middletown Composite to earn the leader’s jersey three years running.

Among other top finishers for Middletown Composite were Makayla Davis, who placed fourth in the eighth-grade girls division in the developmental league.

Asher Pyska placed eight out of 64 riders in the eighth-grade boys division in the developmental league, and Eden Clark was 16th in the sixth-grade boys division in the developmental league.

Among other Middletown Composite riders competing in Novato: Wyatt Davis placed 29th in the varsity boys division; Jacob Counter was 36th in the JV boys D2 division while teammates Landon Williams, Blake Norris and Eli Norris finished 46th, 48th and 73rd, respectively.; Timothy Connelly was 68th in the freshman boys D2 division; and Gabriel Schneider, Matty Sanchez and Michael Santiago placed 47th, 64th and 70th, respectively, in the seventh-grade boys division of the developmental league.
