Team competes in first of first tourneys that are part of North State Series

REDDING >> The Konocti Bay 13s club volleyball team placed fourth out of 17 teams Saturday during an under-14 North State Series Tournament in Redding.
It was the five of first tournaments for the Konocti 13s, who finished second in their morning pool after defeating NSVA 14 Blue and Pursuit 14. They lost to Momentum 14 White in their first gold bracket match.
The Konocti 13s are made up of 10 players, ages 12-13, representing five schools in Lake and Mendocino counties.
Team members are Lyric Hammond, Alondra Lemus, Addi Otten, Ari Patti, Sydney Charpentier, Shyann Beverlin, Fiona White, Amelia Kennedy, Alessandra Zavala, and Bella Garcia.
“We can’t wait to see the progress of these players as they get to know each other more,” head coach Sara Hanson said.
