She’s averaging 15.5 points over Corsairs’ last four non-conference games

EUREKA >> Since returning from a two-week absence because of concussion, Mia Hoogendoorn of the College of the Redwoods women’s basketball team has recorded three double-doubles in the Corsairs’ last four games.
During that four-game stretch — a 74-44 loss to Cosumnes Rivera on Dec. 19, a 64-57 win over Southwestern Oregon on Dec. 29, an 89-65 win over Mission College on Friday and a 70-57 loss over Skyline on Saturday – Hoogendoorn averaged 15.5 points, 10 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. The 2025 Middletown High School graduate scored 19 points against Skyline after double-double efforts against Cosumnes River (12 points, 10 rebounds), Southwestern Oregon (13 points, 12 rebounds) and Mission College (18 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks).
Redwoods takes an 8-8 overall record into its conference opener Wednesday at Shasta. The Corsairs’ home conference opener is Saturday against Butte College.
