A squad wins in straight sets, B team rallies for three-set victory

KELSEYVILLE >> Mountain Vista Middle School’ A and B volleyball teams beat the Middletown Broncos during Wednesday action in Kelseyville.
Mountain Vista A defeated Middletown 25-7, 25-20.
Anaya Kilstrom led the Bronocs with seven digs, two aces and one kill.
Kelseyville statistics weren’t reported.
Mountain Vista B rallied for a 17-25, 25-13, 15-5 win despite 10 service points and six aces from Middletown’s Remmi Harbison. Madison Lewis added three aces and one kill.
“We started off strong and then crumbled,” Middletown B head coach Niki Emberson said. “Kelseyville has some strong servers, and we struggled to pass the ball.”
Middletown’s teams return to action Oct. 15 at home against Upper Lake.
