Upper Lake pitcher Bella Stillman strikes out six in 13-7 road victory

MIDDLETOWN >> Upper Lake defeated Middletown 13-7 in middle school softball action Wednesday in Middletown.
“We were able to bounce back as a team after our first loss to Terrace,” Upper Lake assistant coach Wyatt Hensley said. “It was a complete team effort and we came out with a win.”
Upper Lake improved to 3-1 in league play and 5-1 overall behind a strong effort from winning pitcher Bella Stillman, who struck out six while also going 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and RBI. Cali Kelley went 3-for-3.
Also for Upper Lake, Matilda Boomer doubled twice and drove in two runs for the Wildcats while Kylee Solorio went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.
Ella DelZompo went 2-for-2 with a RBI for Middletown. Losing pitcher Lilliaunna Reyes struck out seven and walked six.
