Cloverdale beat Kelseyville 42-21 in the junior varsity game. Case Pivniska scored all three of the Knights’ touchdowns as the team fell to 1-1-1 in league play and 1-2-1 overall.
Pivniska broke free on a 47-yard run to set up his first score on a 25-yard rush. He scored again on a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter. With the clock winding down, Pivniska caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Deake Lyndall, reaching down by his shins to pull in the pass.
Lyndall also had a two-point conversion run.
Pivniska, Lyndall, Carson Stone, Lucas Anderson-Reyes and Dutch Koschik were the Knights’ leading tacklers.
Both Kelseyville teams are on the road next Friday at Middletown.
