Fortuna beats Knights 52-36, ending 13-game winning streak

KELSEYVILLE >> Aubree Sperber scored 15 points, and Jordyn Wurm added a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, but the Kelseyville Knights had their 13-game winning streak end with a 52-36 loss to the Fortuna Huskies on Saturday in Kelseyville.

“The first loss is always a hard one, but Fortuna was the most competitive team we’ve seen all year,” Kelseyville head coach Liz Berry said. “This game really helped show us what areas we need to work on. We’re ready for the second winning streak.”

Riley Hanson had six points, six rebounds and three steals for the Knights (13-1).

Kelseyville hits the road Tuesday to face Clear Lake in a battle of North Central League I leaders. Kelseyville brings a 4-0 league mark into the game against the 3-0 Cardinals.
