Two divisions decided by playoffs during 33rd annual tourney at Buckingham

BUCKINGHAM >> Deake Lyndall of Kelseyville won the boys overall championship while Zethanie Kohl of Kelseyville won a one-hole playoff to capture the girls overall championship Monday during the 33rd annual Buckingham Summer Junior Championship at Buckingham Golf and Country Club.
Lyndall fired a round of 77 to win the boys crown. Kohl and Aubrey Devries, also of Kelseyville, tied with rounds of 38 during regulation play. Kohl broke the tie on the first playoff hole.
“Deake Lyndall bunched up some birdies to have a very solid round,” Buckingham PGA head golf pro Ted Mattila said.
The boys 11-12 division also came down to a playoff as Michael Dodson of Lakeport defeated Carter Wolf of Kelseyville. Both fired 32s in regulation. Liam Westberg of Ukiah came in third with 37 and Lawrence Kohl of Kelseyville was fourth with 38.
In the boys age 16-17 division, David Sisson (80) of Middletown edged out Patrick Seau (81) of Santa Rosa by a single stroke. Cole Lane of Middletown was third with 84, Grant McMillan of Middletown was fourth with 85, and Cory de Jong of Middletown was fifth with 97.
In the boys 14-15 division, Andy Zimmerle of Middletown, the overall boys champion last week during the Lake County Junior at Adams Springs Golf Course, came in first with a round of 84. Lyle Valador of Kelseyville won the boys 12-13 division with 84, which included an eagle on the 10th hole.
Westberg and Michael Dodson shared putting contest honors. Westberg won the chipping contest.
