Slater goes 2-for-2, White homers in 18-5 loss to Live Oak

LIVE OAK >> The Westshore 8-10 minors baseball All-Stars fell 18-5 to Live Oak Little League on Tuesday in Live Oak.
“We never gave up and played hard to the end,” Westshore manager Mike Marcks said.
Jaxon Slater doubled home two runs in the first inning for Westshore. The team scored its final three runs in the fifth, the first on a Christian Navarro single and the last two on Ethan White’s inside-the-park home run.
Slater finished the game 2-for-2 while Navarro, White, Wyatt Means, Brayden Walsh and Javin John also had hits. Thomas Cochrane walked twice.
Quinton Pasalo and Javin John worked on the mound for Westshore, which returns to action Saturday at 9 a.m.
