Under-10 Dragons White, Dragons Blue teams play in Redding

REDDING >> The Konocti Youth Soccer League has two under-10 teams, Dragons White and Dragons Blue, entered in the Champions Cup this weekend in Redding.
“Both of our teams are still new to the tournament scene, but what we may lack in experience, we make up for with heart and grit,” coach Roberto Reyes said. “These young athletes continue to rise to the occasion and show tremendous growth each week. This is only our second tournament of the year, and already we’ve seen major improvements across the board.”
Added Reyes, “While we didn’t bring home any hardware from the Fiesta Cup in Vacaville, both teams finished strong with wins, and the confidence and teamwork have only continued to grow. We’re looking to build on that momentum, and after the performances we saw, our spirits are high. This weekend, our boys are bringing determination, energy, and heart to the pitch.”
Both KYSL teams are led by head coach Alberto Hernandez, assistant coach Roberto Reyes and manager Monica Hernandez.
In the Fiesta Cup at Vacaville, Colten Bush led his teammates with three goals. Eli Fuller, Drew Young, Jose Mendoza, Max Hernandez and Alvaro Gonzalez each had one.
