UKIAH >> It can’t be your day every day.
Mountain Vista Middle School’s co-ed soccer team learned that lesson the hard way Tuesday, falling 9-0 to Pomolita in Ukiah.
“Anything that could go wrong happened today,” Mountain Vista head coach Oscar Lopez said. “We didn’t adjust well to their turf field.”
Mountain Vista (1-1) scored on an indirect kick only to have the goal disallowed, according to Lopez.
“We did not look like ourselves,” Lopez said.
Mountain Vista is home Wednesday to play two games against Eagle Park. Action begins at 4 p.m.
