Eric Chavez has lone goal for Terrace Vikings in 3-1 home loss

LAKEPORT >> Adrian Guzman scored twice and Marco Soto added a goal and an assist Wednesday afternoon to lift the Obsidian Middle School co-ed soccer team to a 3-1 victory over the Terrace Vikings in Lakeport.
“They showed a lot of character and grit against a very formidable opponent in Terrace Middle School, especially coming off a tough loss at home earlier in the week,” Obsidian head coach Andres Hernandez said.
Eric Chavez had Terrace’s goal.
The two teams went into the second half tied 1-1.
“It was a tough game, but in the end Obsidian just wanted it more,” Terrace head coach Becca Joyce said. “I look forward to playing them again.”
Obsidian improved to 2-2 on the season while Terrace fell to 2-3.
Terrace visits Middletown on Monday.
