Trojans drop to 0-2 in North Central League I play after home setback

LOWER LAKE >> Chasing that elusive first win in school history, the Lower Lake High School boys volleyball team, in it first year of existence, dropped a 25-22, 25-20, 25-17 North Central League I decision to Anderson Valley on Monday night In Lower Lake.
There were some bright spots for the Trojans (0-2 league, 0-3 overall), including Christopher Castillo’s play at setter.
“Christopher Castillo did an amazing job leading the offense while also playing a great defensive game,” Udy said. “We added a libero to the lineup. Christopher Perales gave our defense a big boost.”
Tucker Benson finished with nine kills while Jason Gandeza added six kills and Raijhier McKneely five.
“There was a lot of improvement from everyone on the team, but we still have a long road ahead of us,” Udy said.
Lower Lake resumes its league schedule Thursday against Technology in Rohnert Park at 6 p.m.
