Broncos squads remain undefeated in league play

LOWER LAKE >> The Middletown Middle School A and B girls basketball teams scored league wins over Obsidian Middle School on Wednesday evening in Lower Lake.
Middletown A
Alina Kilstrom’s 14 points along with eight points and a team-best 18 rebounds from Emma Davis powered the Middletown A squad to a 36-23 win.
“I was extremely proud of how well my girls worked together to move the basketball to the open person this game,” Middletown head coach Shannon Williams said. “There were a lot of impressive assists, which to me is just as important. We had nine assists on 17 made baskets.”
Anaya Kilstrom, Alina’s sister, led the team with six assists and also had six points. Grace Williams finished with seven points and eight rebounds.
Middletown took a 23-10 lead into halftime while improving to 5-0 in league play and 10-2 on the season.
Middletown B
Carlee Williams scored eight points to go along with four rebounds as the Middletown B team beat Obsidian 28-14. Katera Gotz added five points, four steals and three rebounds while Sophia Perez had eight steals and six rebounds.
Middletown improved to 6-0 in league play.
Schedule
Both Middletown teams are on the road Monday to play Terrace Middle School in Lakeport.
