Wrestling team competes at Bulldawg Bash in Folsom

FOLSOM >> Gary Oakes and Elijah Tucker of the Gladiators Wrestling Club both went 3-0 to win their divisions Sunday at the Bulldawg Bash in Folsom.

Twenty-three Gladiators attended the tournament, combining for 46 wins overall, 23 of those by pin and another five by technical fall.

Tucker pinned all three of his opponents while improving to 14-8 on the season. Oakes registered two pins and is now 9-3 on the year.

Second-place medals went to Brantley Paminto, 3-1 with two pins and one technical fall; Colin Crow, 2-1 with two pins; Jameson Philpot, 2-1 with two pins; Maverick Paminto, 2-1 with two pins; Caterin Briseno Saucedo, 2-1 with one technical fall; and Leroy Hopkins, 2-1 with one technical fall.

Collecting third-place medals were Olyver Dugger, Alley Oakes, Kaitlyn Crown, Kylie Dugger, Alyssa Hopkins and Anastasia Garcia.

Coming in fourth place were Alex Marks-Martinez, Lilly Oakes and John Young.

Competing in the TOC division but not placing were Kailaya Philpot, who finished 3-2 with three pins; Brayden Paminto, 2-2 with one pin; Logun Whittle, 2-2, with one pin; Adin Griffen, 1-2 with one pin; and Branson Whittle and Cameryn Gamble-Ray, both 0-2.
