6-0 shutout victory is team’s fourth win without a loss
LAKEPORT >> Westshore’s defense allowed only 20 yards of offense while shutting out Middletown 6-0 in Mendo-Lake Empire Junior Football League pee wee action Saturday at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport.
“These boys keep stepping up and playing physical football,” Westshore head coach Vince Rave said.
Westshore improved to a league-best 4-0 as Middletown’s record slipped to 2-2.
Chance Poland led the way on defense with six solo tackles, four assists and a forced fumble. Preston Ramos also had a huge game with four tackles, one assist and a forced fumble. Dominic Miller added five total tackles.
The game’s only points came on a Vincent Rave touchdown run. Rave rushed for 74 yards overall.
