Rave rushes for 158 yards, three TDs in 21-0 victory

LAKEPORT >> Vincent Rave rushed for 158 yards and all three of Westshore’s touchdowns in a 21-0 victory over Kelseyville on Saturday during pee wee youth football action at Don Owens Stadium in Lakeport.
“An all-around great team win,” Westshore head coach Vince Rave said. “The offense and defense showed up. The offensive line did amazing.”
Chance Poland had a 30-yard touchdown run called back but did rush for two extra points. Julian Rascon also scored an extra point.
Westshore improved to a league-best 5-0 while Kelseyville fell to 0-4-1.
Westshore’s defense limited Kelseyville to 23 total yards while logging its fourth shutout of the season. Poland led the team with eight tackles, Mayson Williams added five tackles, including a sack, and Dominic Miller and Josh King each had four tackles.
“I’m proud of the whole team,” Rave said. “Everyone stepped up and played great.”
Westshore hits the road next Saturday to play Fort Bragg while Kelseyville visits Sonoma. Both games start at 4 p.m.
