“They pulled it off despite a rough night at the service line,” Middletown head coach Niki Emberson said. “As a team we had 14 service errors, so we still have work to do.”

Added Emberson, “We had some amazing rallies that went on forever, and our Lady Broncos never gave up on a ball. I was also very happy with how well they played the net.”

Other Middletown leaders were Camila Galvan with five aces and Stella Brand with 15 service points, six assists, five digs and three aces.

“It was an all-around great team victory,” Emberson said.

Middletown is 3-2 in league play.

Aleah Kilstrom served 16 straight points, including 11 aces, as Middletown B opened up a 16-0 lead in the first set against Terrace.

“We went with a different group of starters in the second set, and the girls were able to battle back after falling behind,” Emberson said.

The Broncos trailed 24-20 when Teegan McLeon stepped to the service line and served six straight points, five of them aces, to rally Middletown.

Middletown improved to 5-0 in league play.

Both Middletown teams open the second half of their league schedule Monday at home against Obsidian Middle School.
