KELSEYVILLE >> Kelseyville High School’s boys soccer team had no shortage of support Saturday night during its season-opening alumni game.

“The Kelseyville community came out in droves to support our athletes and our alumni again this year,” Kelseyville head coach KC White said. “I’m so proud to have started this event. It has helped up build fan support that was good in my first three years as coach but has blossomed in the recent two. I feel like our alumni now have a connection with our success and we feel it in our play and the support we receive.”

In the first appearance of his 2026 team, White said the Knights looked good after a bit of a slow start.

“Well, I saw a team that is ready to contend again,” White said. “A little jittery in the beginning, but we got comfortable quickly and played a much better second half.”

Playing the tough competition that is the school’s alumni was a good first test for the Knights, according to White.

“It certainly helps that our alumni are seasoned vets, and this game, more than a normal scrimmage, helps us immensely in dealing with quality teams on the other end and preparing us for the season,” White said.

“Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the Kelseyville community,” White added.
