The camp is led by Bear Grassl, retired Sonoma State women’s head volleyball coach and current Marin College women’s volleyball head coach. He will be assisted by Kelseyville High School’s volleyball staff.
The camp goal is to stimulate a love for the game in young athletes by showing them how to accelerate their own progress and success. Individual training in all skill areas will be provided. Camp athletes will be assigned to ability-level specific groups. Each day will end with controlled scrimmages and game-like situations.
At the conclusion of the camp, the staff will select up to 24 girls from either camp to compete in an All-Star match on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. Two teams will be formed. Team placement will be based on skill and volleyball position. Team members receive shirts. Tickets will be sold at the door.
