Kelseyville’s Bohan,, Middletown’s Galvan participate in three-day-long Sunset Cup

ROSEVILLE >> Two Lake County high school freshmen – Kaia Bohan of Kelseyville and Trinity Galvan of Middletown — helped the Empire 15 Power club volleyball team reach the gold bracket of the NCVA Sunset Cup held Saturday through Monday in Roseville.
Empire 15 Power, participating in its final tournament of the season, won its first six matches, going 3-0 on Saturday and 3-0 on Sunday, to reach Monday’s gold bracket match against Torch 15 of Bakersfield. Torch 15 won 25-20, 25-21.
Empire 15 Power placed fifth overall out of 49 teams in the 16s club division.
In Saturday action, Empire 15 Power beat UVA 15 Regional 25-20, 25-15, REVC 16U Silver 25-13, 25-19 and Reno 15 25-11, 25-11.
During Sunday’s play, Empire 15 Power defeated UVA 16 Regional 27-29, 25-14, 15-14, Marin 16 West 25-6, 25-17 and MVVC G15 Purple 25-22, 25-21.
Empire 15 Power went 15-7 during the league portion of its season in the 18-15s division of the WCVBA Power League.
In league play, their record was 15-7 in the 18-15s division of WCVBA Power League.
