HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE >> With both teams missing players for various reasons, the Middletown Mustangs shut out the Kelseyville Knights 5-0 in Coastal Mountain Conference North tennis action Friday afternoon at Hidden Valley Lake.

“We were down four of our top players today, and even at full strength it was going to be a tall task to beat Middletown,” Kelseyville head coach Andy Dobusch said. “They were down a player too, so our lineups were a bit modified.”

In singles, Will Hoskins beat Maddy Borghesani 6-2, 6-4, Harrison Brown defeated Riley Lopez 6-1, 6-2, and Anthony Lopez beat Jesse Barnett 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles, Nalu Johnson and Luis Pamatz defeated Olivia Raabe and Gemma Tanti 6-2, 6-0, and Jasiah Pike and Shiobhan Ryan were 6-1, 6-0 winners over Manny Ingrassia and Milez Giambra.

Middletown is 7-1 in conference action and Kelseyville 5-4. Both teams are back in action Tuesday, weather permitting, as Kelseyville travels to Cloverdale while Middletown hosts Fort Bragg.
