UPPER LAKE >> Dean Boehm went out with a bang, rushing for 215 yards on only six carries and scoring two touchdowns as the Northshore junior varsity youth football team closed out its season with a 25-0 win over Kelseyville on Saturday in Upper Lake.
Zaedyn Suzor finished with 117 all-purpose yards and a touchdown as the Cougars wrapped up their year with a 3-5 record. Suzor added another touchdown on defense with an interception return.
“It was a great team effort to end the season,” Upper Lake head coach Bradley Brackett said. “This was a team win with over 390 yards of offense. Our team came together toward the end of the season.”
Ryan Hance also had a busy day for the Cougars with a team-best 10 tackles and a 30-yard reception. Damien Moreno added six tackles while Boehm had five tackles and two sacks.
“The goal was to get the ball to as many players as possible with this being our last game,” Brackett said. “Kelseyville had a good game play and was very well coached, especially on the defensive side of the ball.”
