KELSEYVILLE >> Jayden Teabo and Andon Beall combined for 31 kills as the Kelseyville High School boys volleyball team improved to 4-0 in the North Central League I standings with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-14 win over Credo High School on Monday night in Kelseyville.
Teabo also had four aces as the Knights reached the .500 mark (9-9) for the season.
“Kelseyville has had two consistently effective attacks … Andon and Jayden,” Kelseyville head coach Donelle McCallister said.
Jorge Bernal added another six kills in the straight-set victory.
“Jorge Bernal is beginning to really swing well from both the left and right sides,” McCallister said. “Being a left-hander, he is extremely effective as the opposite hitter. Jorge is also developing the reading skills needed for back row defense.”
Julian Armas, the team’s setter, registered 30 assists while feeding Teabo, Beall and Bernal up front.
“Julian put up some really wonderful sets for the big hitters, especially connecting with the middle quick attacks with Andon.”
Otoniel Rivas led the team with 11 assists.
“Otoniel continues to dominate the back row in passing and digging,” McCallister said.
Kelseyville heads to Lower Lake on Thursday. The Knights then have a lengthy break (because of teams that dropped out of the league) before hosting Anderson Valley on April 14.
