Team rolls through pool play with 4-0 record at North State Volleyball Series tourney

REDDING >> The Konocti Bay 13s club team made it all the way to the Gold B bracket quarterfinals Saturday, finishing third in a North Stat Volleyball Series tournament in Redding.
Despite being down two players and encountering a mid-match injury, Konocti Bay went 5-1 against 14s competition. The Gold B division was made up of 16 teams from throughout Northern California.
Konocti Bay went 4-0 in pool play, beating NSVA Blue 21-10, 21-9, Butte Elite Ridge 21-13, 17-21, 15-6, NSVA Gabby 21-6, 21-9 and Butte Elite 21-11, 21-10.
In the first round of the Gold B playoffs, Konocti Bay beat Redwood Empire 21-12, 21-8. Uptempo ended Konocti Bay’s run with a 21-16, 18-21, 15-6 win. Uptempo went on to finish first.
Team members are Amelia Kennedy, Ari Patti, Fiona White, Shyann Beverlin, Sydney Carpenter, Lyric Hammond, Adrianna Cook, Bella Garcia, Addi Otten and Alondra Lemus.
