Colin Crown, Kaitlyn Crow both reach medal podium

FRESNO >> CORE Wrestling Club members Colin Crow and Kaitlyn Crow placed fifth and sixth, respectively, during the USA Wrestling Folkstyle State Championships last weekend in Fresno.
Colin Crow went 3-2 with two pins in the intermediate boys 56-pound division while Kaitlyn Crow went 1-3 with one pin in the novice girls 75-pound division.
Also competing for CORE were Eric Holley, Wyatt Hooten, Jessie Ricahrdson, William Villa and Sampson Wetmore.
“We had some great battles that we fell short on, but it only showed us where we can improve and get ready to go at it again,” CORE head coach Danny Cuellar said. “I’m very proud of how everyone wrestled. Win or lose we learned. Fresno is one of the toughest tournaments in California, one never to be taken lightly.”
