Boys, girls win Clear Lake Memorial, Lady of the Lakes tournaments in Lakeport

LAKEPORT >> Nine Clear Lake High School wrestlers came away with first-place medals Saturday as the Cardinals hosted both the Clear Lake High School Memorial Tournament for boys and the Lady of the Lake Tournament for girls.
Additionally, both Clear Lake teams finished first in team scoring.
“This was the first tournament we have placed at as a team this season,” Clear Lake head coach Markham Odell said. “It felt very rewarding as a coach to see how far these kids have progressed since day one. I am blessed with an amazing group and can’t wait to see how the rest of this season unfolds.”
Memorial Tournament
Silas Reese (132 pounds), Adrian Truby (138), Conri Richardson (157), Landen Noisat (175), William Greene (190) and Ralphy Blancas (215) all won their weight classes in the Memorial Tournament.
The Cardinals also picked up medals at 165 pounds where Carson Wikstrom came in second, and at 144 pounds where Saul Rascon finished third.
Lady of the Lake
Renee Meders won the 100-pound weight class while Addyson Munoz (145) and Ema Vasquez (155) also claimed first-place medals for the Cardinals in the Lady of the Lake Tournament.
Destiny Wikstrom (110), Valkyrie Weddle (190) and Nikki Buechler (215) secured second-place medals while Lilliana Somersall (120), Aleeya Bondi (125) and Katilynn Hackbarth (135) finished third in their respective weight classes.

Clear Lake wrestlers return to action Dec. 27-28 at the Lou Bronzan Invitational (boys) and Brittany David Invitational (girls) at Liberty High School in Brentwood.
