A squad defeats Eagle Peak 8-1, B team notches 5-1 victory at Middletown

MIDDLETOWN >> Middletown Middle School’s A co-ed volleyball team defeated Eagle Peak 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon in Middletown.
Xavier Yebra led the Broncos’ offense with a hat trick while brother Andres Yebra added two more goals. Also scoring were Isaac Delgado, Sophia Perez and Aniya Kilstrom. Delgado added an assist.
Middletown (1-0) outscored Eagle Peak 4-0 in the second half to extend a 4-1 halftime lead.
The Broncos host Pomolita on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Middletown’s B team also beat Eagle Peak 5-1 behind Roe Kilstrom’s hat trick.
Ryker Gotz scored twice for the Broncos.
“Both of our Middletown squads played aggressive today and were fast to the ball,” Middletown head coach Ernest Pulido said.
