UPPER LAKE >> Upper Lake High School’s softball team scored 25 runs for the second game in a row, this time in a 25-15 five-inning victory over Esparto on Friday afternoon in Upper Lake.

“Our batters showed their strength at the plate and had a lot of fun today,” Upper Lake head coach Janice Klier said.

Witter’s three-run triple in the bottom of the first inning set the tone for Upper Lake’s offense.

Kylee Solorio pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts.

“We are all so proud of Kylee pitching her first full game of her high school career,” Klier said.

The Cougars play Tuesday in South Fork at 4 p.m.
