KELSEYVILLE >> Bouncing back from a 9-0 road loss on Tuesday, the Mountain Vista Middle School co-ed soccer team swept Eagle Peak in a doubleheader, winning 3-1 in the first game and 4-0 in the second game Wednesday afternoon in Kelseyville.

“We played much better today,” Mountain Vista head coach Oscar Lopez said as the Lancer improved to 3-1 on the season.

Bob White scored two goals in the first game and Erik Gomez had the other. Hiliana Rico assisted on White’s second goal.

Mountain Vista led 1-0 at halftime.

“We played with better pace,” Lopez said. “It was a good performance.”

In game two, Amelia Darling scored twice and Lalo Serrato also had a goal. The Lancers also picked up a score on an own goal when Serrato’s corner kick was accidentally knocked into the net by an Eagle Peak player.

“Amelia Darling played great in both games,” Lopez said. “She was up and down the sidelines.”

Mountain Vista led 3-0 at halftime.

Mountain Vista returns to action Wednesday in Fort Bragg at 4:30 p.m.
