ELK CREEK >> Moving up to a tougher level of competition proved to be no problem whatsoever for Lower Lake High School student and motocross rider Rafe Wallace based on the results of the Old Mill Hare Scramble on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at Elk Creek.
Bumped up into the A class in the you division after his success last month at the Prairie City race, Wallace blended right in at the higher level. In his first A-class race, he finished second after a tight battle decided by only a few seconds. Coming back the following day, Wallace finished first for the overall win in the C Sportsman C200 class.
The weekend highlighted Wallace’s continued progression and adaptability despite the higher level of competition.
Wallace is sponsored by Motosports of Ukiah, FXR Moto, Acebis USA, and Leatt. He returns to action Feb. 14-15 at the District 36 Pichacho Cree Hare Scramble in Coalinga.
